Less links that we don't use.  Added Internet radio like - hope that works.   Need to convert the links to big buttons one of these days soon but not today.

Even more new links

Check the side bar for new links. Ever since I got the Chumby device, it's been way cool to see the web cam from both the Issac Walton Inn and the view of Longs Peak in Northern Colorado. So let's put them here where they're handy.

Mousecize

M uses a tutorial like this in Espanola to teach basic computer operation for her library classes. Here's a mouse exercise from the Mesa Public Library that covers a lot of ground. Check it out.

Super Smoothie

In the blender add:
  • Two bananas. Frozen is good to make a colder smoothie
  • Two cups soy milk
  • 1 T (tablespoon) vanilla. (Real please - not that artificial stuff.)
  • 1 Cup other fruit such as strawberries
  • 1 Cup vanilla ice cream or sherbet. Use two cups fruit sherbet if no other fruit from line above.
  • 1 scoop flax meal ground
  • 1 scoop protein powder. Maybe a little less to keep it from being gritty.
Blend at a good roll for 15 seconds or so. Serve right away. Blend briefly before pouring if serving seconds.

Emergency Messaging - Verizon

It's not Amateur Radio but it may just be the next best thing. While cell phones are probably swamped in an emergency, their simple messaging service probably won't be. Best of all, it's possible to send messages to a cell phone either from the web (Verizon SMS website) or by email.

For emailing a message to a Verizon Cell, send the message to NUMBER@vtext.com. You have 140 characters total. More characters than that and it'll be another message which is another ker-ching.

Hello World

It appears that wikidot is putting video advertisements on the page I'm using for the folks home page. Nothing wrong with that. Nothing wrong with moving the folks home page to blogspot...

Onward!
